William “Earl” Yeager Sr., beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Oct. 1, 2026, at the age of 86.
Earl was born on March 8, 1940, in Huntsville, Texas, to Willie and Anna Yeager.
He was a hardworking man who spent much of his life as a heavy equipment operator. He took great pride in his work and in providing for his family.
Earl had a gentle, calm demeanor, a giving heart, and a way of making everyone feel welcome. He never met a stranger and accepted people just as they were. His kindness, quiet strength, and genuine love for others left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Earl is preceded in death by the love of his life, Donna Yeager; his parents, Willie and Anna Yeager; his granddaughter, Marie; and siblings, Howard Ray, Donnie, Peewee, Curtis, Buddy, and Linda.
He leaves behind his children: Billy and wife Nichole; Patricia and husband Pete; Carolyn; Dora and husband Russell; Donald and Wayne, along with his remaining siblings Betty, James Albert, Jewel, and Catherine.
Earl was a proud grandfather and family man. He is survived by 15 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren with three more on the way, and 2 great-great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
After retiring, Earl enjoyed taking care of his lawn and spending time doing the simple things he loved.
More than anything, Earl will be remembered for his sweet spirit, his generosity, his calm presence, and the love he showed to his family and everyone around him. His life was a gift to those who knew him, and his memory will live on through the many lives he touched.
Though our hearts are broken, there is comfort in knowing that Earl is reunited with Donna, after being apart for far too long. We imagine that sweet reunion—two hearts that loved each other in this life together again, with no more pain, no more goodbyes, and no more tears.
Earl’s earthly journey may have come to an end, but the love he gave and the memories he created will live on in his family for generations to come. He leaves behind a beautiful legacy of kindness, gentleness, hard work, and love.
Rest peacefully, Earl. Until we meet again… you will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
