Paula Delgado Cruz

Paula Delgado Cruz, born on June 22, 1973, in Teloloapan, Guerrero, Mexico, joined her heavenly Father on Oct. 4, 2026, in Cleveland, Texas. She will be remembered with deep love as a faithful servant to the Lord, a devoted wife and mother, and a woman whose life reflected both quiet strength and enduring faith.

Her faith was a guiding force throughout her life. Paula loved listening to Christian music, and she loved to read and study her Bible. She was a devoted student of Scripture and especially enjoyed her Tuesday Bible studies. Her walk with the Lord was evident in how she practiced her faith, including times of fasting in the name of the Lord. One of the most meaningful parts of her legacy is the spiritual foundation she gave her family, teaching her children from an early age to attend church and serve the Lord.

Alongside her deep spirituality, Paula embraced life’s simple joys. She enjoyed eating, loved dressing nice, and treasured the company of family and friends. She will be remembered for the warmth she shared with those around her and for the love she gave so freely to the people in her life.

Paula is survived by her husband of 20 years, Inocencio Ortiz, and by her daughters, Andrea Desiderio, Paola Desidero, and Elena Desiderio, who were among the greatest blessings of her life. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters: Pedro Delgado and his wife, Flor Bello; Juan Delgado and his wife, Rosario Aguirre; Rafael Delgado; Susana Delgado; Cristina Delgado and her husband, Rufino Cruz; and Aucensia Delgado and her husband, Francisco Romero. She leaves behind family and friends who will continue to cherish her memory and the witness of her faithful life.

Paula is welcomed into the gates of heaven by her father, Jose Delgado Osores; her mother, Heriberta Cruz Osores; her brothers, Leonardo Delgado Cruz and Jose Delgado Cruz; and her sister, Florentine Delgado Cruz.

Those who knew Paula will remember a woman of conviction, devotion, and love—a woman who honored the Lord, treasured her family, and left a lasting impression through her faith and kindness. Her memory will remain a blessing to all who loved her.

A visitation in honor of Paula will be held on Monday, Oct. 12, 2026, from 5 to 10 p.m., with an evening funeral service to begin at 7 p.m., located at Neal Funeral Home, 200 S. Washington Ave, Cleveland, Texas 77327. A graveside service will be held the following morning, Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2026, beginning at 11 a.m., located at Ryan Cemetery in Cleveland, Texas.
