Lois Ann Hunter-Carter was born June 16, 1945, in Crossett, Ark., to parents Oliver Mannon Hunter and Hester Lois Campbell. She passed away peacefully at home in Cleveland, Texas, on Oct. 13, 2026, at the age of 81.
Lois was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great great-grandmother that will be missed by her entire family and everyone that loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oliver and Hester Lois, and her husband, Billy Carter.
Lois is survived by her sister, Barbara Bible; her beloved children, Oliver Wyatt Carter, Billy Anderson Carter II and wife Tami, Robert Benjamin Carter and wife Jacquelynn, and Tina Louise Krumnow and husband Brian; grandchildren, April, Olivia, Oliver “Bubba”, Jonathon, Tiffany, Christina, Billy III, Ray, Ethan, Alex, Mia, Rachel, Reanna, Regan, David, Chance, Carter, Zachary, and Daniel; numerous great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be in the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, Oct. 23, 2026, from 2-3 p.m. Funeral Service will begin at 3 p.m. with Rev. Stephen Horne Jr. officiating.
