José Antonio Burgos López

José Antonio Burgos López, from Celaya, Guanajuato, Mexico, was called into the presence of the Lord on Oct. 17, 2026, at the age of 40. Born on March 15, 1986, José will be remembered with profound love and sorrow, but also with gratitude to God for the precious gift of his life. He was a kindhearted man, a tireless worker, a faithful servant of the Lord, and, above all, a devoted husband, father, son, and brother whose presence left an everlasting impression on all who had the blessing of knowing him.

José was known as an honest, dedicated, and hardworking man who always strived to fulfill his responsibilities and provide for his family. His noble character and strong work ethic earned him the love and respect of those around him. Beyond his work, however, José found his greatest happiness in life’s simple pleasures and in the time he spent with his family. He enjoyed preparing delicious pork carnitas and lovingly tended to his garden, where he grew vegetables, especially tomatoes. Among the most treasured memories he leaves behind are the moments he spent playing with his children in the yard of his home. Those precious times, filled with laughter, tenderness, and love, will forever remain in his family’s hearts as a beautiful reflection of the loving father he was.

Above all else, José deeply cherished his family. His home was where he found joy, strength, and purpose. He is survived by his beloved wife of 22 years, Patricia López, and his dear mother, María Luz López. He also leaves behind his beloved daughters: Alejandra Campos and her husband, Jesús Alberto Campos; Jessica Burgos; Anna Paula Burgos; and Camila Burgos. His daughters will forever carry in their hearts their father’s love, the lessons he taught them, his warm smiles, and the countless precious moments that made their family life such an invaluable treasure. Although his passing leaves an emptiness that can never be filled, the love he gave them will remain in their hearts forever.

José is also survived by his beloved brothers and sisters: Florentino Burgos and his wife, Enes Gonzales; Isidro Burgos and his wife, Jovita Galván; José Carmen Burgos; Juan Pablo Burgos and his wife, María Valen Palacio; Remedios Burgos and her husband, Rodolfo López; Felicitas Burgos and her husband, Carlos Olvera; María de Jesús Burgos and her husband, Martín Olvera; Graciela Burgos and her husband, Diego; Guadalupe Burgos and her husband, Yernardo Muñoz; and Teresa Burgos and her husband, Livorio Muñoz. He was preceded in death by his beloved father, Juan Burgos Morales, and his brother, Gustavo Burgos.

Those who knew José will remember him as a good man with a noble heart and a hardworking spirit, someone who expressed his love not only through words but, more importantly, through his actions. His faith in the Lord, his devotion to his family, and his humble and sincere way of life left a lasting impression on everyone whose path he crossed. Today, his loved ones grieve his loss but find comfort in the memories they will cherish for a lifetime and in the promise of their Christian faith: that death is not the end, but the passage into eternal life with our Heavenly Father.

Though his hands may no longer prepare the foods he so dearly enjoyed, his voice may no longer be heard throughout the home, and his footsteps may no longer cross the yard where he shared so many joyful moments with his children, his presence will live on in every cherished memory, every prayer, and every expression of love that continues to unite his family. José’s legacy is measured not only by the years he lived, but also by the love he gave, the example of honest and diligent work he set, and the many lives he touched through his kindness. May the Lord grant strength to all his loved ones during this time of profound sorrow, and may the promise of eternal life bring them comfort and hope.
