Road reclamation, resurfacing project to begin Nov. 2 on CR 604 in Dayton

Liberty County Pct. 4 Commissioner Gerald Kolarik is advising residents that Pct. 4 will begin a road reclamation and resurfacing project on CR 604 on Monday, Nov. 2, with construction expected to continue through the end of November, weather permitting.

The project will extend along CR 604 from CR 602 to the end of county maintenance near U.S. Highway 90.

Durwood Greene Construction Co. will serve as the contractor for the project, which is being coordinated through Liberty County Pct. 4 Road and Bridge.

Motorists traveling through the construction area should expect traffic delays and are encouraged to consider alternate routes while work is underway. Drivers are also asked to observe all traffic signs and follow directions from traffic control personnel.

Once work on CR 604 is completed, crews will transition to CR 602 for additional road improvements. A separate announcement will be issued when a start date for that portion of the project has been determined.

Pct. 4 officials are asking residents and motorists for their patience and cooperation as the county works to improve local road conditions.
