Buford Eugene Enloe

Buford Eugene Enloe, age 94, was born on Oct. 18, 1932, in Cleveland, Texas, to Roy Benjamin Enloe and Sibyl Isaacs Enloe. He passed away on Oct. 31, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of cherished memories, a loving family, and a legacy of hard work, dedication, and love.

Buford was a hardworking, devoted family man whose life was built around the things that mattered most to him—his family, his love for the land, and the simple joys of country living.

Buford was a man who believed in the value of an honest day’s work. He spent many years working for Liberty County, where he eventually retired. A farmer at heart, Buford had a special love for rice farming, raising cattle, and caring for his horses. He found happiness in the great outdoors, whether he was tending to his animals, working the land, or simply enjoying the peacefulness of country life. His strong work ethic and love for the outdoors were a reflection of the kind of man he was—steadfast, hardworking, and happiest when surrounded by the things he loved.

Above all else, Buford loved his family. He was a man who appreciated the simple things in life, and nothing meant more to him than the people he held dear. The memories made, the stories shared, and the love he gave throughout his lifetime will forever be treasured by those who knew him. His presence was a familiar comfort, and his absence will leave an emptiness in the hearts of his family and friends.

Buford was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Benjamin and Sibyl Isaacs Enloe; his sister, Leveata Enloe Griffin and her husband, Clarence “C.F.” Griffin; and his nephew, Michael Griffin.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving sons, Willie Seale and wife Laura, and Emmett Lamon and wife Glenda; his beloved daughters, Odessa Dixon and husband Kim, and Jeanie Enloe and Darla Stidham; his brother, Charles Enloe and wife Shirley; and special friend, Rebecca North. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family members, and a host of dear friends who were blessed to have known him.

Buford lived a life rooted in hard work, family, and a deep appreciation for the beauty of the outdoors. Though his days of working the fields, tending his cattle, and enjoying his horses have come to an end, the memories he leaves behind will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him.

He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished. May he now find eternal peace and rest, where the fields are always green, the horses run free, and the work of a lifetime is finally done.
