Rufus Milton "Buddy" Carter
Rufus Milton “Buddy” Carter, age 90 of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Monday, May 28, 2018. He was born September 19, 1927 in Splendora, Texas to parents John Wesley Carter and Mary Eleanor Thornton Carter who preceded him in death along with his brothers, Elgin Carter and David Wesley Carter; sisters, Sybil Carter, Betty Sue Transou, and Mary Jo Pouncey.

Survivors include his loving wife of 67 years, Florence Carter; daughter, Viola Kay Weathersby and husband Bruce; son Robert Milton Carter and wife Pat; brother, Leroy Carter; grandchildren, Wesley Weathersby, Chris Weathersby and wife Meredith, Tim Weathersby and wife Misti, Mary Dickson and husband Taylor, Kayla Green and husband Michael, and Matt Carter; great-grandchildren, Hunter Green, Josephine Weathersby, Scarlett Weathersby, André Weathersby, Madeline Weathersby, and Luke Dickson; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m., Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 1, 2018 at Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. Interment will be held at Morgan Cemetery, Cleveland, Texas.
