Andrew Joseph Gould

A deputy with the Liberty County Sheriff’s Criminal Interdiction Unit at 7 p.m. May 31 conducted a traffic stop on a black 2000 Ford Pickup on CR 322 near FM 1010 in the Cleveland area for reportedly violating a traffic law. The driver was identified as Andrew Joseph Gould, 46.

Gould reportedly gave the deputy consent to search both the vehicle and his person. Police allegedly found a green, plastic container that contained a crystal substance consistent with methamphetamine.

Gould was arrested and transported to the Liberty County Jail. The weight of the crystal-like substance was 1.23 grams. Gould is charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance PG1, which is a third-degree felony. Bond was set at $15,000.
