Julie Etter Barrett

Julie Etter Barrett – age 46 of Hardin passed away June 9, 2018 in Houston, Texas. Julie was born in Liberty, Texas October 4, 1971 the daughter of Raymond Etter and Diann Warner Etter.  A loving Mother, Wife, Daughter, Teacher, and Friend to all she will be sadly missed by those that knew and loved her. Julie enjoyed baking and was a fantastic cook. She was a devoted member of Hardin Baptist Church, where she served on numerous committees and taught at the Vacation Bible School. She was an educator at Hardin Elementary School, she taught first grade, music, and art. One of her passions in life was helping to teach a child to read. Julie was also active at the school from PTO to Band Boosters. She could always be counted on to help wherever she was needed. Spending time with her family was the most important thing in Julie’s life. She always cherished the moments spent with her children, family, and friends. Julie leaves behind her husband of nineteen years Brad Barrett, her twins William “Will” Barrett and Laura Barrett, and her son Colby Barrett. She also leaves her parents Raymond and Diann Etter and numerous other cousins, friends, colleagues, and students who will remember her always. Funeral services for Julie will be held 2PM Thursday at the First Baptist Church of Liberty, 602 N. Main Liberty, Texas, and visitation will be held from 12-2PM Thursday at the Church.
