Robert Wade Burton

Robert Wade Burton, 60, of Dayton, Texas passed away on July 3rd, surrounded by his family.

Wade Burton “Woodhead” was born in Dayton, Texas on September 9, 1957 to Monroe Lee Burton “Wahoo” and Joyce Valenciano. He graduated from Calvin High School in 1976. Wade worked at the chemical plants for over 30 years, most recently for Lonestar. He loved to fish, his family, his dogs, and his job. Wade was an amazing father and devoted husband. He struggled with multiple cancers for many years of his life but never lost his faith in Christ.

Wade was preceded in death by his father, Monroe Lee Burton “Wahoo”.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie Burton; his two children, Calvin Burton and Monique LeJeune; his daughter in-law, Gentry Burton; soon to arrive grandson, Memphis Monroe Burton; sisters, Phyllis Gagliano Svrcek, Cindy Stober; mother Joyce Valenciano; brothers Charles Gagliano, Lee Burton, David Cummins; nephews Gary Gagliano, Kenneth Gagliano, Brandon Gagliano, Glenn Cowan, and John Cowen; in-laws Doug Casses, Rose Casses, Joe Casses, Diane Casses, Kathy Saulsbury; and countless nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 11am on Friday with a visitation at 10am at Sterling Funeral Home in Dayton, Texas. Interment will be at Palms Memorial Park immediately following the service. There will be a short memorial at the cemetery, weather permitting. Dress in your boots and jeans!
