Dayton Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating and identifying several suspects involved in a multiple-vehicle burglary event.

According to Capt. John Coleman, in the early morning hours of July 14, 2018, between 2 to 3 a.m., in different areas of the city, several suspects in two different passenger cars reportedly committed several opportunistic vehicle burglaries.

Dayton PD is stepping up patrols in neighborhoods and areas with a large number of parked, unattended vehicles. The public can help by reporting any suspicious activity by calling 936-258-7621. Call 9-1-1 if you see a burglary in progress.

Citizens can help avoid becoming a victim by removing their valuables from their vehicle, locking the doors and being aware of their surroundings, Coleman said.
