Liberty County deputies assist in arrest of wanted felon

The Liberty County Sheriff’s Office assisted the U.S. Marshals on Aug. 8 with an operation in Baytown to arrest a wanted felon.

Authorities say Cornelius Keal, a suspect wanted out of Jefferson County, was found hiding inside an air conditioner intake system inside a Baytown home.

When the officers arrived at a residence, they reportedly were met at the front door by Nakeya Jones, 21, who reportedly denied them entry into the residence.

Entry was made and once inside, officers found the wanted suspect, Cornelius Keal, hiding inside the air conditioner intake within an interior wall of the home.

Keal was arrested for three counts of Delivery of a Controlled Substance, warrants issued out of Jefferson County. He was transported to Jefferson County without further incident. Nakeya Jones was transported to Harris County for Hindering Apprehension of a Known Felon.
