The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the drowning of a 1-year-old child Wednesday in the Cleveland area.
According to a report from Lt. Scott Spencer, spokesperson for the sheriff’s office, the child was found in a pond on the property of his parents in the 10400 block of Timber Switch Road.
The child’s mother called 9-1-1 around 5 p.m. to report the drowning. When deputies, EMS and firefighters arrived, life-saving measures were administered and the child was transported to a local hospital, but passed away later.
No other details are known at this time.
