Ruth Marshall

Ruth Marshall, 93, of Liberty, passed from this life to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 16, 2018, at Magnolia Place Health Care in Liberty, with her loving family by her side.

A service of remembrance will be held on Wednesday September 19, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at Faith & Family Chapel with Reverend Tony Hines officiating. Interment will follow at Guedry Cemetery in Batson. Serving as pallbearers are Hollis Marshall, Dylan Marshall, Chad Koonce, Brian Johnson, Charles Gilliland, and Brad Alford.

There will be a gathering of family and friends on Tuesday September 18, 2018 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Faith & Family Funeral Services Inc.

Ruth was born February 15, 1925 in San Augustine, TX, to Callie A. Williams and Ora Alzima Simmons Williams. She had lived in Liberty since 1975 and was a homemaker and seamstress. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Devers. She was preceded in death by her husband Hollis Marshall. Brother, Walter Williams and sisters, Hattie Robinson, Mary Williams, Leona Smith, Ethel Mae Karnes, and Lucille Simmons.

She is survived by her sons, Wayne Marshall of Liberty, Paul Marshall and wife Dahlia of Mont Belvieu. Daughters, Diane Koonce and husband Michael of Hardin; Becky Lynn Johnson and husband Craig of Liberty, and numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of loving family and friends. Grandchildren: 7 and great – grandchildren: 9.
