Geraldine “Judy” Dockens

Geraldine “Judy” Dockens, 74, of Winnie, Texas passed away peacefully with her family by her side on September 28, 2018 in Beaumont, Texas. She was born in Overton, Texas on August 8, 1944 to Martin Millard Witherspoon and Susie Ethel Britton Witherspoon.

Judy loved to garden, fish and to spend time with her family. She was a member of Sweet Home Baptist Church in Hankamer, Texas. Judy married her late husband John Dockens, Jr. on June 10, 1967.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband; brothers, Marlon Witherspoon, Coy Witherspoon, Truman Witherspoon and Haskell Witherspoon; and daughter Melba Jean Dockens Campbell.

She leaves behind to cherish her loving memories, her daughter, Melissa Dockens; grandchildren, Candace and husband Joey Chavez, Garrett Threadgill, Travis and wife Dana Campbell, Heather Campbell, Lindsey Campbell, Hillary and her husband Tyler Netterville; her sister, Ferm Weaver; and 9 great-grandchildren.

Honoring the family as pallbearers will be Mike Fountain, Jose Chavez, Joey Chavez, Kyle Witherspoon, Bobby Dockens. Honorary pallbearers will be Daniel and Samuel Chavez.
