Liberty PD investigating infant’s death

A 7-month-old girl died Sunday, Oct. 7, in Liberty. Police were called to a home on the 400 block of Minglewood Road around 8:30 a.m., to assist EMS with a call for an infant who was not breathing.

EMS transported the baby to Liberty-Dayton Regional Medical Center where she was later pronounced deceased.

According to Liberty Police Chief Thomas Claunch, the child’s death is under investigation and an autopsy has been ordered.
