Bobby Anderson Coats, age 85 of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Monday, October 8, 2018. He was born December 24, 1932 in Cleveland, Texas to parents Lawrence P. and Sarah Downs Coats who preceded him in death along with his son, Criss Coats; sister, Billie Stanley; brothers, Jimmy Coats, Gene Coats and Lawrence Coats; brother-in-law, Waymon Stanley; and sisters-in-law, Deanie Coats and Jerry Coats.
He is survived by his daughter, Randi Anderson and husband Sean; sons, Bobby R. Coats and wife Nila, and Jerry Gafford and wife Lisa; honorary son, Randy Mays; sisters-in-law, Mary Coats and Vicki Coats; grandchildren, Bobby R. Coats, Jr. and wife Stephanie, Barry L. Coats and wife Angela, Timothy Gafford, Tiffany Gafford, Madison Gafford, Desiree Anderson, Gideon Anderson, Hannah White, and Joe White; great-grandchildren, Joslynn, Andrew, Samuel, and Daniel White, Tanner and Lulu Gafford, and Karen, Hannah, Cayden, Zac, and Morgan Coats; close friends and caregivers, Patricia Coats and Barbara Osborn; numerous other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, October 11, 2018 at Pace Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 12, 2018 at Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas with Gary Ladner officiating. Interment will follow at Cleveland Memorial Park, Cleveland, Texas.
