Michael Ray Glazener

Michael Ray Glazener- -age 65 passed away suddenly Saturday October 6, 2018 in Liberty. Mike was born August 19, 1953 in Pasadena, Texas the son of Wallace Bernard Glazener and Susan Thompson Glazener. Mike ultimately was about family and God. He enjoyed spending time with his family, running, and golfing. Mike’s career began as a pipefitter for Brown and Root. He joined Lakewood Church and was called to ministry. He moved to Oklahoma and attended Rhema Bible School graduating in 1980. After the graduating he moved to the Liberty area where he took a position as Associate Pastor of Shiloh Church, where he met his wife, Laurie. They moved to Texarkana, where he pastored Texarkana Christian Center. They moved back to Liberty to become the Associate Youth Pastor for Maranatha Church. They then moved to Louisiana to Pastor Christ Cathedral of Praise. He returned to Liberty in 1998, to Pastor what was renamed Cornerstone Church, where he has pastored for the past twenty years. Mike also was an assistant coach of boys and girls Cross Country for Liberty High School. Mike was preceded in death by his father Wallace Bernard Glazener. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of thirty-six years Laurie R. Glazener of Liberty, mother Susan Glazener of Katy, son Paul Glazener and wife Katelyn of Liberty, sisters Patricia Berry of Tomball, Linda Burnett and husband Jessie of Alvin, Jackie Simpson of Katy, and a brother Tommy Glazener of Dallas. In addition he leaves his three grandchildren Addie, Duke, and Giana Glazener. Mike will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation for Michael will be held October 10, 2018 Wednesday 5-8PM at Cornerstone Church, 1693 Hwy 146 Bypass Liberty, Texas. Funeral services to be held 10AM Thursday October 11, 2018 at Cornerstone Church with burial to follow in Cooke Memorial Cemetery.
