Patsy Elaine Golleher

Patsy Elaine Golleher- age 74 passed away Friday October 26, 2018 at Magnolia Place. Patsy was born in Yoakum, Texas May 5, 1944 the daughter of the late Tommy Allen Boone and Rosalie Graham Boone. Patsy worked for over thirty-five years as a Switchboard Operator for GTE now a Verizon Company. She was a proud member of the Communication Workers of America Union. Patsy will be remembered for her warm smile and a great sense of humor. She was a giving, caring, and loving Mother, Grandmother, Sister, and great grandmother. She loved nothing more than spending time with her family. As a single parent she worked hard to support her two children and attended every one of their sporting events. She will be sorely missed by all that knew and loved her. Patsy was preceded in death by her parents as well as her sister Wanda Boone. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her son Donnie Golleher and wife Rhonda of Liberty, daughter Cindy Matousek and her husband Mike of League City, and a brother Wayne Boone and his wife Linda of Victoria. In addition she leaves her beloved grandchildren Jennifer Matousek, Ashlee Golleher, Derek Matousek, Gracie Golleher, and Abby Matousek, as well as a great granddaughter Alexis Matousek. A graveside service will be held 11AM Wednesday October 31, 2018 at Pilot Grove Cemetery, Yoakum, Texas.  Condolences and memories can be shared online at www.allisonfuneralservice.com.

Before creating Bluebonnet News in 2018, Vanesa Brashier was a community editor for the Houston Chronicle/Houston Community Newspapers. During part of her 12 years at the newspapers, she was assigned as the digital editor and managing editor for the Humble Observer, Kingwood Observer, East Montgomery County Observer and the Lake Houston Observer, and the editor of the Dayton News, Cleveland Advocate and Eastex Advocate. Over the years, she has earned more than two dozen writing awards, including Journalist of the Year.
