“Lil Charlie” W. Daniel Jr.

“Lil Charlie” W. Daniel Jr., 37, of Batson, died Friday, November 2, 2018, in Saratoga.

He was born December 26, 1980, in Nacogdoches, TX to Charlie Wayne Daniel Sr. and Dora Ann Tidwell Daniel. Lil Charlie was a self-employ welder for most of his life and enjoyed trail riding and fishing. Lil Charlie’s true passion was working on three-wheelers.

Charlie is preceded in death by his father; Charlie Wayne Daniel Sr; grandparents; Nathan P. Daniel Sr., Morris R. Tidwell, and Dolores C. Tidwell.

Those left to cherish his memory are; his mother, Dora Ann Daniel of Batson; grandmother, Mavis Daniel of Batson; sisters, Melissa A. Preston and husband Johnny of Batson, and Domini Kirkland of Batson; nephews, Andrew L. Preston, Seth Allen Ray, and Aiden Romus Preston; nieces, Kenzie Mykayla Kirkland, Kyley Renee Kirkland, and Sharlee R. Fishel; great-nieces, Addie Howell and Reagan J. Kirkland; and a host of many loving family and friends.

A service of remembrance will be held on Friday, November 9, 2018, at Faith & Family Funeral Services, Inc. beginning at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Tolbert Hudspeth officiating, interment will follow at Guedry Cemetery in Batson.

A gathering of Lil Charlie’s family and friends will be Thursday, November 8, 2018, at Faith & Family Funeral Services, Inc. from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

Honoring Charlie as pallbearers are Shay Madden, Curtis Lawrence, Johnny Jordan, Donnie Gilliam, Jason Gilliam, John Alpers, Blue Fregia, and Ricky Cook. Honorary pallbearers are Dustin Dagle, Johnny Preston, and Joe Fregia.
