Jimmy Deward Stephens, Sr.

Jimmy Deward Stephens, Sr., age 80 of Dayton, Texas, passed away Wednesday, November 7, 2018. He was born February 16, 1938 in Cleveland, Texas to parents Deward Belmont and Azalea Regina Stephens who preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Margie Dale Stephens; daughter, Wilma Jean Stephens; son, Jimmy Deward Stephens, Jr. and wife LaDonna; grandchildren, Dewayne Purswell and wife Brittany, Deanna Hawthorne and husband Jake, George Stephens and Elizabeth Stephens; great-grandchildren, Lance Hawthorne, Jax Hawthorne and Tristen Purswell; numerous other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 11, 2018 at Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. Interment will follow at Ryan Cemetery, Cleveland, Texas. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Cherokee Home for Children or MD Anderson.
