Lonnie Ray Johnson

Lonnie Ray Johnson, 69 of Dayton passed away Monday, November 12, 2018. He was born October 17, 1949 in Dayton, Texas to parents Albert B. Johnson, Jr. and Susie Ramirez Johnson.

Memorial service for Lonnie will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.

Lonnie was a lifelong resident of the Dayton area. He had worked as an auto mechanic and electrician. He was a member of the Mosque #45 Nation of Islam in Houston. He enjoyed watching the news, music and dancing. Lonnie most of all loved his family and his grandchildren.

Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his parents, brother Michael Paul, and grandmother Ella Rameriz. He is survived by wife of 40 years, Sheila Johnson of Dayton; son Ormande Johnson; daughters, Ranisha Johnson and Chana Johnson; brothers and sisters, Johnny Durio and wife Brenda, Sueona Herpin and Chris, Pamela Barnaba and John, Louise Seals and Henry Gradney; grandchildren, Tegan Pierre-Lovis, Taryn Okoro and Tiaya Okora; also numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
