Crystal Mae Helms

Crystal Mae Helms, 36, of Honey Island passed away Saturday December 29, 2018 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

A service of remembrance will be held on Friday January 4, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at Emmanuel Baptist Church of Honey Island with Pastor Mel Rowell officiating. Interment will follow at Sutton Cemetery in Honey Island. The family will be receiving friends on Thursday January 3, 2019 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Emmanuel Baptist Church.

Serving as pallbearers are Michael Helms, Ricky Elmer, Jeremy Elmer, Michael Wallace Jr. Archie Lancaster, Lonnie Brown.

Crystal was born January 1, 1982 in Beaumont, to Robert Lee Morse and Deborah Sherlene Sutton. She had lived in Honey Island and Kountze area most of her life and had worked as a Medical Encoder. Crystal had many hobbies which included fishing, and watching drag racing at Ben Bruce Memorial Raceway in Evadale. She was a jokester and prankster always making her friends and family laugh. She loved being outdoors, camping, going to the beach, gambling, and singing in musicals and karaoke. She was proud of the fact that she had graduated college with high honors.

Survivors are her husband, Glen Helms of Honey Island; parents, Robert Morse of Village Mills, and Deborah Morse of Honey Island. Son, Skyler Morse of Honey Island, and step-son, Michael Helms of Vidor; step-daughter, Amanda Helms of Lake Jackson.
