Linda Kay Bergquist

Linda Kay Bergquist, 57 of Anahuac, Texas passed away on Wednesday January 2, 2019 at Bayside Community Hospital in Anahuac, Texas. She was born on August 12, 1961 in Berwyn, Illinois to the late David and Carolyn Sakowicz. Linda spent most of her childhood life in Illinois where she was very involved in the ROTC program. She also lived in Tennessee before moving to Anahuac in 1978 where she graduated from Anahuac High School in 1979. She went on to College where she earned her degree in Nursing. Linda reconnected with the love of her life, Scott Bergquist later marrying him on October 4, 1986. She enjoyed sewing, riding her horse “Jet” and showing her Rottweiler “Banshee” at dog shows. Linda was very positive, stubborn at times, outspoken, very loving, she would do anything for anyone and she was very strong willed.

She is preceded in death by her parents, David and Carolyn Sakowicz; sister, Diana Sakowicz.

Linda leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband of 32 years Scott Bergquist; sons, Andrew and his wife Amanda Bergquist, and Brian and his wife Shelbi Bergquist; grandchildren, Aubree Hewitt, Andy Bergquist, Aeryn Bergquist, Evin Bergquist and unborn Waylon Bergquist; brother, David Sakowicz II and his wife Sheila; best friend, Susan Wistrand and husband Tom.

Friends are invited to gather with the family at 1pm on January 10, 2019 at Sterling Funeral Home in Anahuac located at 1201 S. Main St. Anahuac, Texas. Services will begin at 2pm with interment to follow at Anahuac Cemetery
