Sherry Mozelle Beene

Sherry Mozelle Beene, 79, of Dayton passed away on January 5, 2019 in Baytown, Texas. She was born October 1, 1939 in Houston, Texas to parents, Carl Otho Sligar and Mozelle Justice Sligar

Services for Mrs. Beene will be 12 Noon, Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Joe Tripp officiating. Interment will follow at Brookside Memorial Park in Houston. The family will receive friends 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday evening at Pace-Stancil.

Mrs. Beene had been a resident of Dayton for the past 10 years after moving from Brazoria. She was formerly a member of the Lions Club and had been den mother for the Cub Scouts. She was a kind and giving person and will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
Sherry was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 54 years, Cleatus “Pinto” Beene; brothers, Otho Sligar, Jack Sligar, and Wesley Sligar. She is survived by her sons, Robert Keener and wife Jodi, Darrien Beene, and Kevin Beene and wife Pam; daughter, Brandy Henry and Chris Slaughter; nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; also numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
