Aerial photos show scale, intensity of oil tank fire in Daisetta

Travis Yust, a local aerial photographer, shot this photo Tuesday, Jan. 29, of an oil tank fire in Daisetta.

When an oil tank exploded off of CR 2018 in Daisetta on Tuesday, Jan. 29, one local aerial photographer, Travis Yust, grabbed his drone and captured these amazing images of the fire as it raged and its aftermath.

No injuries were reported in the fire, but it took firefighters more than an hour to put out the blaze.

Fire departments from Daisetta, Hardin, Liberty and Batson assisted.
