Shay Tylar Starr

Shay Tylar Starr, age 28, of Coldspring, Texas, passed away Sunday, April 14, 2019. He was born March 23, 1991 Palestine, Texas to parents John Starr and Andrea Alexander. He is preceded in death by his sister, Hannah Surber.

Shay was a free spirit, and marched to the beat of his own drum.

Survivors include his parents, Andrea and Dirk Surber; grandparents, Rebecca and Morris Surber, and John and Debbie Alexander; brother, Payton Surber; numerous other relatives and friends.

My candle burnt at both ends;
It did not last the night; but ah, my foes, and oh, my friends – –
It gave a thrilling light.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 27, 2019 at Calvary Christian Center, 10856 Hwy 79E, Oakwood, Texas officiated by Pastor Jack Smith.
