Nettie Beatrice Green Wilson

Nettie Beatrice Green Wilson, 77, of Cleveland passed away Friday, April 26, 2019 in Liberty. She was born May 2, 1941 in Cleveland to parents Horace Noble Green and Roxie Beatrice Stringer.

Mrs. Wilson was a long time resident of Kenefick had lived in Cleveland for over twenty years. She enjoyed reading, watching tv, painting and liked to shop. She loved her family and enjoyed the time spent with them. She also loved taking care of her puppies.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Augustus Wilson, and her son, Calvin Brewer and Joshua Brewer. She is survived by her son, John Brewer; daughters, Susie Williams and husband Nelson and Roxie Vandver and husband J.V.; grandchildren, Carol Balinski and husband Vic, Justin Willaby and wife Amy, Haylie Brewer, and Clovis Brewer; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, DeWayne, Devin Bowen, Levi and Aaryn Williams, Taylor Herndon, Dakota, Kolby and Destiny Willaby.

Before creating Bluebonnet News in 2018, Vanesa Brashier was a community editor for the Houston Chronicle/Houston Community Newspapers. During part of her 12 years at the newspapers, she was assigned as the digital editor and managing editor for the Humble Observer, Kingwood Observer, East Montgomery County Observer and the Lake Houston Observer, and the editor of the Dayton News, Cleveland Advocate and Eastex Advocate. Over the years, she has earned more than two dozen writing awards, including Journalist of the Year.
