Ruthie Mae Chapman

Ruthie Mae Chapman, age 79, of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2019. She was born January 9, 1940 in Livingston, Texas to parents Jack and Dorothy Collins Davis who preceded her in death along with her husband, John W. Chapman; and sister, Betty Davis Jones.

Ruthie was a lifelong resident of Cleveland and was well known for her delicious cakes and treats. She also loved volunteering at the Cleveland Senior Center. She will be missed by all who had the honor to know her.

Survivors include her sons, Wesley Chapman, Bruce Chapman and wife Jerri; brothers, Charlie Davis, Melvin Davis, Erwin Davis, Alvin Davis, and Tom Davis; grandchildren, Cindy McCown and husband Doug, Stacy Chapman, John Chapman and wife Samantha, Wesley Chapman, Sonya Chapman, Bruce Chapman and wife Kerri, Brent Chapman and wife Autumn, Hayleigh Chapman and Jake Chapman; great-grandchildren, Tanner McCown, Hunter McCown, Skyler McCown, Riley Saganek, Addi Chapman, Faith Chapman, Elizabeth Chapman, Ty Chapman, Hunter Chapman, Cade Chapman and Collins Chapman; numerous other relatives and dear friends

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at Pace Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at Calvary Baptist Church, Cleveland, Texas, officiated by Bro. Carl Williamson.
