Mobiloil Credit Union to break ground in Dayton on June 26

Mobiloil Credit Union is breaking ground in Dayton, Texas.  The ceremony is June 26 and begins at 10 a.m. at the credit union’s future location at 999 SH 146 South. A breakfast reception will follow at the Dayton Chamber of Commerce office, 801 S. Cleveland St., Dayton, Texas.   

“We are thrilled to be expanding to the Dayton area.” Says Clint Walters, Senior Vice President and COO. “The construction of this new facility, allows us to grow our commitment of bringing the very best in banking solutions to our communities.” 

When asked about the new development, President and CEO John Doucet said,  “We continue to be humbled by the opportunity for expansion and look forward to creating jobs and serving this community.”

Mobiloil Credit Union was chartered in 1935 as Magnolia Employees Beaumont Texas Federal Credit Union. It was one of the first federal credit unions in the Jefferson County area. Their field of membership now includes: Chambers, Hardin, Jasper, Jefferson, Liberty, Newton, Orange and Tyler counties.  Applicants who live, work, attend school or worship in any of those eight area counties, along with their immediate family, are eligible to establish a membership.

The membership has now exceeded over 50,000 members and assets in excess of $800 million making Mobiloil Credit Union the largest credit union in the area. Over the years, they have maintained a competitive position among other financial institutions while adhering strictly to the philosophy of  “people helping people.”
