Ronald “Ronnie” Gene Hoard

Ronald “Ronnie” Gene Hoard, age 62 of Shepherd, Texas, passed away Thursday, June 20, 2019. He was born September 28, 1956 in Cleveland, Texas to parents Saint Elmo and Falvey Lee Pickering Hoard who preceded him in death.

Ronnie was a former resident of Shepherd, Texas for 36 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding horses, and playing dominos. Above all else, Ronnie loved spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Carla Hoard; son, Scott Hoard; daughters, Brandi Hoard-Herrod and husband Gene, Holly Harrison and husband Jason; sister, Patricia Hoard; grandchildren, Ally Fountain, Tori Hayes and Tyler Harrison; nephews, Adam Cox and Evan Cox; niece, Erin Goad; dog, Sam Sam; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Sunday, June 23, 2019 at Pace Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 24, 2019 at Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas officiated by Rev. Charles “Chuck” Smith. Interment will follow at Montague Cemetery, Cleveland, Texas.
