Thousands of people packed the Liberty Municipal Park on Wednesday, July 3, for the city’s annual fireworks show to celebrate Independence Day.

Jason West and West of the Trinity entertained a crowd that gathered under the basketball pavilion on the west side of the park. Mayor Carl Pickett offered a welcome address just before 9:15 p.m. when he switch was flipped to turn off all lights in the park. Then the 10-12 minute show began.
