From July 15-19, 17 Dayton FFA members and four Agricultural Science teachers traveled to Fort Worth, Texas, to attend the 81st annual Texas FFA State Convention. These student attended sessions over leadership, teamwork, and the endless opportunities that the FFA has to offer them.
The Texas FFA Association embraces the idea of building stronger communities. The last line of the FFA motto, “Living to Serve,” signifies the vital role service plays in our organization. This week Dayton FFA gathered and donated an assortment of art supplies that will be donated to Cook Children’s Hospital.
Four members of the Dayton High School FFA received the highest form of membership that the Texas FFA can offer, the Lonestar Degree. Only 3 percent of FFA members in the state of Texas earn this degree. Pictured left to right are Dalton Patterson, John Griffin, Skyler Wagner and Hallee Cognata.
