Clyta Jean Carter, age 88, of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Monday, July 29, 2019. She was born July 8, 1931 in Cleveland, Texas to parents Fred and Myrtle Purswell who preceded her in death along with her husband, Bennie Charles Sweet; husband, Robert Carter; and son, Clyde Sweet.
Survivors include her sons, Charles Sweet, Floyd Carter and wife Kathy, and Bobby Carter; daughter, Deborah Cunningham and husband Robert; brother, A.J. Purswell and wife Wanda; grandchildren, Jake Sweet, Ben Sweet, Trey Sweet, Kenny Carter, Melissa Carter, Bethany Carter, and Michael Carter; great-grandchildren, Bennie Sweet, IV, Bailey Raye Sweet, Bonnie Rue Sweet, Bella Jean Sweet, Lindsay Carter, Avery Haynes, and Addi Haynes; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at Pace Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 9:00 a.m., Thursday, August 1, 2019 at Cleveland Memorial Park, Cleveland, Texas.
