Contractors are taking advantage of summer’s hot sunny weather to move along the construction of the Fuel Max station at the corner of SH 105 and SH 146. Over the weekend, the concrete foundation for the store was poured. Every day of sunshine seems to bring more progress on the building.

For people in Moss Hill, the store is much-anticipated. Currently, residents have to drive to Batson, Tarkington, Hardin or Rye to refuel or fill gas and diesel cans for their lawnmowers and tractors.

The new store will have two fuel bays – one facing SH 146 and the other facing SH 105, and 10,000 square feet of retail space. The site where the store is being built was previously the location of Fitzpak store.

Moss Hill will soon have its own Dollar General Store, too, located at 138 SH 105. Contractors currently are preparing the ground for the next stage of construction.
