Edward Gillespie Wheeler

Edward Gillespie Wheeler, age 96 of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2019. He was born July 7, 1923 in Fostoria, Texas, to parents James and Annamae Wheeler who preceded him in death along with his loving wife of 64 years, Ida Bernice Wheeler; son, Steven Wheeler; great-great-granddaughter, Zoe Sennebogen; daughter-in-law, Bunny Wheeler; sister, Flossie Carter; and brother, Raymond Wheeler.

Survivors include his children, Thom Wheeler and wife Lavinia Wheeler, Dorothy Wheeler Thomas and husband Don Thomas, Jack Wheeler and wife Laryssa Wheeler, Robert Wheeler, Ronald Wheeler and wife Jeanne Wheeler, and Mary Wheeler Morris and husband Glen Morris; adopted son and daughter, John and Pam Davis; grandchildren, Monty Wheeler, Bailey Wheeler, Donald Thomas, Lori Sennebogen, Jack Wheeler, Jr., Kris Wheeler, Anastasia Wheeler, Aaren Wheeler, Danielle Hurd, David Berryman, Carrie Johnson, Steven Pearce, Nikki Dickerson, Tiffany Wheeler, Camille Manchack, Scott Morris and Janet Morris; sister, Emma Emrie; brothers, Oscar Wheeler and Frank Wheeler; along with numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Friday, August 23, 2019 at Pace Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, August 24, 2019 at Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. Interment will follow at Pace Stancil Memorial Rest Gardens, Cleveland, Texas.
