Dayton HS recognized as Naval Honor School

Dayton High School Marine Corps JROTC, under the direction of CWO-3 (Ret.) Ron Tash, displays the trophies they have earned this year in competitions.

Dayton High School Marine Corps JROTC has again been recognized as a Naval Honor School. Among a group of 68 schools in Region 5 and for the third consecutive year, Dayton High School earned the honor. Only the top 20 percent of schools within Region 5 are selected for this honor.

The selection consists of a culmination of the following: Cadet Citizenship (school activities, community service and public affairs), Scholastic Achievement (academic awards, scholarships and enlistments) and MCJROTC Unit Activity (drill competitions and POI events consisting of guest speakers, cadet leadership camps, field trips, hosting a drill meet, etc.).

Last year, Dayton High School Marine Corps JROTC was the Number 1 within Region 5 and recognized by the Marine Corps Reserve Association (MCRA).
