Wallace Wayne Odom Jr.

Wallace Wayne Odom Jr., 49, of Liberty, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 14, 2019. He was born on June 27, 1970 in Taft, Texas to Wallace Wayne Odom Sr. and Janet Henry Odom. Wallace was an avid fan of all sports and loved the Houston Astros. He enjoyed watching tv especially when it was shark week, going to the gun range to shoot, and eating at his favorite restaurant, Texas Roadhouse. Wallace was a wonderful father who took pride in raising his children and made sure to teach them to always be there for one another. He always told his children “There is no such thing as quitting!” Wallace impacted the lives of many and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Cathy Gaskin, and Jana and Eugene Odom.   

Wallace is survived by his children, Jessica Roe Odom, Nathan Wayne Odom, Justin Alan Odom, and Shawna Lynn Odom; parents, Wallace Wayne Odom Sr. and Janet Odom; brothers, Jeffery Shane Odom and Tracy Scott Odom and wife Anna; grandchildren, Nikole Laniese White, Nickolas Laguan White, and Bentley Alan Odom; and a host of extended family and friends.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2019, from 10:00am to 12:00pm at Sterling White Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 12:00pm. Interment will be in Sterling White Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sterling White Funeral Home, 11011 Crosby-Lynchburg Rd., Highlands, TX 77562.
