Liberty County residents braved the wet weather Wednesday for the annual Trinity Valley Exposition rodeo parade in downtown Liberty. The impending weather caused local high school bands to withdraw from performing in the parade and some floats canceled at the last minute, but the parade still had enough entries to take 90 minutes to make its way through town.
The parade is a continuation of events taking place through the weekend in Liberty County for the annual county fair and rodeo on the TVE Fairgrounds. Rodeos will be held on Friday and Saturday nights this week with a new rodeo queen crowned during Saturday’s rodeo performance.
