Halloween costume contest winners announced

The votes are tallied in the Bluebonnet News Halloween costume contest. The contest is open to children and pets, and votes are counted through Facebook “likes.” Voting ended at midnight, Nov. 2, and the highest number of “likes,” 572, went to Cameron Miller and Charli Blizzard for their Kentucky Fried Chicken-inspired entry.

The first-place winners wore chicken and Colonel Sanders (founder of KFC) costumes. The winners will each receive two tickets to the Texan theater and $10 gift cards for Sonic.

Second place goes to Averi Moon Vines for her Maleficent costume. She will receive a $15 Sonic gift card.

Third place goes to The Greatest Show on Earth, an entry featuring Bo Abbie, Taylor LeVier, Hadley Neal, Mason Flores, Cooper Neal, Rose King and Ford Stoesser. They will share a treat basket.
