Katherine Doris Mills Gibson, age 75 of Coldspring, Texas, passed away Sunday, December 8, 2019. She was born July 10, 1944 in New Orleans, Louisiana to parents Laney Ray Mills and Mary O’dell Watson Mills who preceded her in death along with her guardians, Paul and Kathryn Gentry.
Katherine was raised in Bogalusa, Louisiana out in the country. She loved learning, teaching, riding horses, bible study and time spent with family.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Roye Gibson; sons, Murphy Gibson, Mike Gibson and wife Kelle, Paul Gibson and wife Sarah; grandchildren, Larisa Gibson, Audrey Gibson-Altrock and husband Joshua, Aaron Gibson and wife Emmalyn, Kinsey Gibson, Emily Gibson and one on the way; brother, Laney Ray Mills, Jr.; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 13, 2019 at Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. Interment will follow at Montague Cemetery, Cleveland, Texas.
