Christopher Michael Van Deventer, age 36, of Liberty, Texas passed away unexpectedly in his father’s loving arms on December 9, 2019 at his residence in Liberty. He was born on August 5, 1983 in Liberty to parents Michael Van Deventer and Ramona Ann Doyen Erdman.
Christopher was a loving son, nephew, cousin and friend. Although, he had serious health issues through-out his life, he had a great attitude and a smile that would light up the room. Christopher loved country music. He was a great dancer. Chris loved being outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was truly loved by all who knew him. He will be missed and his memory cherished forever.
Christopher was preceded in death by both maternal, grandparents; and an uncle. Those left to cherish his memory are his parents Michael Van Deventer, Romana Ann Doyen Erdman and husband Jeff; Aunt Lisa Majors and husband Fred; Uncle John Mahavier and wife Lisa; cousins Tessa Baggett and husband Patrick, John Mahavier, Trevor Mahavier; uncles Robert, Russell, Randall and Richard Doyen; Aunt Lanette Doyen and grandmother Earlene Krueger. He also leaves behind many other loving family members and friends.
Honoring the family by serving as pallbearers are William Hanel, Galen Duty, Chris Turner, Paul Haidusek, Brian Rogers, John Reitan, Tommy Chambers and Terry Johnson. Honorary pallbearers are Josh Wiggins, Doug Bishop, Jeff Wiggins and Ray Day.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 12pm-2pm on Monday, December 16, 2019 at First Baptist Church of Liberty, 602 Main St., Liberty, Texas 77575. Funeral services will begin at 2pm with Brother Glen Leatherman officiating.
