Charles Redden

Charles Redden, 79, of Dayton, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Dec. 22, 2019, in Liberty, Texas.

A memorial will be held Saturday, Dec. 28, at 1 p.m. at Dayton First Baptist Church.

Mr. Redden was born on Aug. 11, 1940, in Texarkana, Texas. He was honorably discharged from the Army National Guard and Navy.

Mr. Redden was a member of Journey Fellowship and a former member and Deacon of First Baptist Dayton.

Mr. Redden married his beloved wife on June 18, 1960. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, who loved teaching his family about God.

Mr. Redden was preceded in death by his parents, Ruff and Eugenia Redden, 13 siblings, mother and father-in-law, a sister-in-law and son-in-law Gary Belken.

He is survived by his wife of 59 and a half years LaVerne Redden of Dayton, daughter Teresa Belken of S.D., Son Scott Redden and wife Jenny from Wyo., two brothers-in- law and one sister-in-law. Grandchildren are Kristina Bussey and husband Charles of Dayton, Texas, Michael Neel and wife Kayla of S.D., Kim Carter and husband Kevin of Huffman, Texas, Nick Neel and wife Jamie of S.D., Brittany Belken and fiancé Anthony of S.D., Ashley Stephens of Plano, Texas, Rodney Stephens and wife Steeva of Wash., and 11 great-grandchildren.

  1. So sorry to hear of Uncle Charles leaving us. I know he will be missed. I will miss not seeing him again. I know he is in a better place. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all,
