Community invited to show support for fallen SJC sheriff’s deputy on Friday

Visitation for San Jacinto County Sheriff’s Deputy Bryan Pfluger will be held on Thursday, Dec. 26, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Coldspring Shelter, 225 Live Oak, Coldspring. Pfluger died from injuries he suffered in a car crash on Dec. 21 while responding to a burglary call.

His funeral will be held on Dec. 28, 2019, at First Baptist Church, 306 Tenth St., Pflugerville, Texas, with a viewing at 11 a.m. and a service at 1 p.m. He will be buried 3.6 miles away from the church and the family has asked that this service be kept private.

However, the public is invited to show its support for Pfluger on Thursday as his funeral procession leaves Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Cleveland to make the trip to Pflugerville. The procession will pull out at noon on Friday, travel northwest on Crockett St. to Washington Ave., then turn on FM 2025 toward Coldspring. The procession will then take SH 150 West in Coldspring to New Waverly, then west on FM 1375 to FM 149 to Richards, Texas. FM 149 will take the procession to Anderson and then south on SH 90 to Navasota, then SH 105 West to Brenham, where it will enter US 90 toward Austin.
