Jimmy H. Butler

Jimmy H. Butler, age 79 of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2019. He was born July 29, 1940 in Cleveland, Texas to parents Justice Howard and Iris Pearl Rivers Butler who preceded him in death along with his son, Del Butler.

Mr. Butler liked carpentry, working outside and going fishing. He loved his grandkids and watching Keeley’s softball games. Jimmy also enjoyed cooking his famous hamburgers and homemade ice cream for all his grandkids and great-grandkids.

He is survived by his wife, Darlene Butler; sons, Casey Butler and Jeff Butler; daughters, Tracy, Sheila and husband Robert Rogers; brother, Johnny Butler; sisters, Joann Smoot and Jeri Lever; grandchildren, Courtney Butler, Shawn Rogers and wife Britni, Nathan Butler, Sam Butler, Jacob Butler, Jordan Butler, Maddie Butler; great-grandchildren, Keeley “Tater Bug” Butler, Lane “Big Boy” Butler, Bryleigh “Muscat” Brown, and Khaslee “Monkey Fuzz” Rogers; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 4, 2020 at the Community Fellowship Church, Hankamer, Texas.
