Patsy Jo Theriot Shutter

Patsy Jo Theriot Shutter, 87, of Sour Lake, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, February 06, 2024. She was born on March 31, 1936, to the late Dwight Theriot and Lillie Fregia.

Throughout her life Patsy was a devoted and compassionate LVN nurse. She brightened the lives of many patients whom she met and cared for. After retiring from nursing, she was delighted to take over her family’s business, Theriot’s Nursery. Patsy embraced life fully and found great pleasure in various interests. She found immense joy in music and traveling with her beloved husband, brother Dan and his beloved wife Janice.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, John Shutter; and brother, Gary Theriot. She is now reunited with them in the Kingdom of Heaven.

Patsy is survived by her son, Clark Shutter; daughter, Lorrie Laman of Sour Lake, Texas; brother, Dan Theriot and his beloved wife Janice of Silsbee, Texas; special friend/cousin, Patsy Lloyd of Clear Lake, Texas; grandchildren, Mandy Garcia, Jeff Mills, Leah Jackson, Sarah Jackson, and McKenzie Shutter; nieces, Lisa Stutts & husband Allen and Keli Day and husband Marty; nephew, Daniel Theriot and wife Mary; numerous great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, great nieces and great nephews. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

Memorial Gathering will begin between 10:00 am – 11:00 am on Monday, February 12, 2024, at Faith and Family Funeral Services in Batson, Texas. Memorial Service will begin at 11:00 am on Monday, February 12, 2024, at Faith and Family Funeral Services in Batson, Texas with Pastor Billy officiating. Cremation is under the direction of Faith and Family Funeral Services.
