San Jacinto County Sheriff’s Office nabs child sexual assault suspect

A Shepherd man, Clint Lloyd Johnson, was arrested Wednesday, Feb. 21, and charged with Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child, less than 14 years old, and Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Young Child or Disabled Person. Both are first degree felonies.

Johnson’s arrest was made by the San Jacinto County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division and the Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team (SRT), which executed search and arrest warrants in the 100 block of Benner Road in Shepherd.

Upon arrival at the property, SRT deputies reportedly encountered several people in the residence. They were removed and detained while the investigation continued.

A female advised that the wanted subject was confirmed to be in the house. After an extensive search, SRT located the wanted subject hiding under the residence after he reportedly tried to escape through a hole in the floor.

SRT subsequently removed the subject from under the residence and placed him in custody without further incident. Investigators then obtained the evidence outlined in the search warrant.

During the course of the investigation, one of the other subject in the residence, Robert Edward Spore, reportedly was found to have an open felony warrant for Possession of a Controlled Substance. He also was booked into the San Jacinto County Jail.
