Clarence (aka Poupee) Norman Brown was born in Dayton Texas to the late Clarence and Myrtle Brown on March 31, 1952. He was granted his angel wings on February 19, 2024.
Poupee received Christ at an early age. He graduated from Dayton High School the home of the Mighty Broncos. Poupee played on the basketball team for the Broncos. He later relocated to Baytown, Tx and took courses at Lee College where he became a Welder and later a Boilermaker. His career as a Boilermaker took him to many cities throughout the United States, as far as the Outer State of Hawaii.
Poupee loved sports. He had a special interest in racehorses. He also loved watching his favorite teams, the Houston Texans, the Houston Astros, as well as the Houston Rockets.
Poupee’s best friend whom he spent a lot of time with is Donnie Dearborne where he spent years of helping out with racehorses; whether it was cleaning stalls or traveling on the road with him to watch his friend horses compete in races.
Poupee had a special love for his family especially his nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He had many friends of different walks of life as he was a person who enjoyed people. He was known mostly for being one of the most best dressed persons amongst his friends. He will be remembered for wearing starched and iron jeans, with a good pair of well shined cowboy boots or dressed down in one of his many pairs of converse sneakers.
Poupee was a helpful person to anyone he could offer a hand in helping. He will surely be missed by those who loved and adored him.
