Since its founding in October 2019, Hardin Helping Hands, a non-profit organization deeply rooted in the local community, is on a mission to strengthen bonds, support local growth, and collaborate seamlessly with various entities to efficiently coordinate resources for the greater good.
One of the hallmark initiatives of Hardin Helping Hands is the Students First program, which aims to provide support to students and their families. What started at the Hardin ISD’s Elementary campus during the 2020-2021 school year has now grown to encompass all campuses, amplifying the organization’s impact on the educational community.
The organization’s dedication to community engagement and celebration is exemplified through the organization of annual events, including the Hardin Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony, the Citizen of the Year Award, and the Christmas Parade. These cherished traditions not only uplift the spirits of the community but also serve as platforms for local businesses to showcase their offerings.
Even in the face of the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, Hardin Helping Hands persevered, introducing the Christmas Parade in 2021 with free booths for local businesses, providing them with an avenue to connect with the community.
Going beyond celebratory events, Hardin Helping Hands is deeply involved in initiatives that address essential needs, even extending beyond state lines. From food drives to back-to-school supply drives and providing support to families in need, the impact of their collective efforts is quantifiable and substantial.
Looking toward the future, the organization has set ambitious goals, including fundraising targets, expansion of the Students First Program, and initiatives to support children involved in crises, all while actively recruiting volunteers and exploring alternative fundraising solutions.
