Cleveland police investigating shooting incident outside funeral home

Cleveland police officers spent Sunday afternoon investigating a shooting outside of Neal Funeral Home on the 200 block of S. Washington Ave.

Around 1 p.m., shots were fired by an occupant of a dark Jeep Cherokee, prompting a swift response from Cleveland police officers.

According to Sgt. David Edwards, a spokesperson for the police department, investigators believe that the occupant fired several shots into the air.

Police are reviewing surveillance video from nearby businesses to aid in the investigation and are searching for the driver of the vehicle.

No injuries were reported and no other information is available at this time. An update will be posted as new information becomes available.
